Dr. Topping delivers a lecture in Ontario at the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars

From October 24-25, at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College, in Barry’s Bay, Ontario, Dr. Topping travelled to deliver a lecture at a gathering organized by the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars.

The weekend served as an amazing opportunity to promote and share the good work going on out west through the Gregory the Great Institute. Many in Ontario were excited to hear of our new initiatives and programs. The Institute likewise, was likewise delighted to connect and share wonderful memories with the fine group of scholars who came for the conference. 

2. Dr. Topping and his son, Joseph (a student at Seat of Wisdom College), with Canadian Catholic novelist and painter Michael O'Brien.

The time in Ontario also served as an occasion to connect with clergy for visits and discussions about the Institute. 

3. Dr. Topping and Fr. Thomas Lynch, President of Priests for Life (Canada) and Rector of the Cathedral in Peterborough, ON.

Expanding on the vision and work of cultural renewal the Institute is undertaking, Dr. Topping gave a talk entitled “Six Models for Renewal in Canada.” 

We are thankful for a great weekend. As an Institute with a national view in mind to renew culture in Canada, it is important to connect with similar visionaries doing good work out east as well. It was a particular joy to support and spend time with Dr. Patrick Craine, and the wonderful work he is doing to expand Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College.
