The Abolition of Man Webinar

In preparation for the first Renewing Culture Conference, the Institute hosted a webinar with several participants in our cross-city St. Gregory's Inkling Book Club.

We were not only joined by many participants in the book studies, but also by two honoured and esteemed guests:

Dr. Jennifer Fast is the Dean of Students for the Gilbertine Institute and holds a PhD from the University of Dallas, a renowned Catholic University in Texas. She took her PhD in literature, specializing in Shaeksphere. She is also married with three lovely children and a fourth on the way!

We also have Dr. Gerard McLarney, who teaches at Western Canada's only Chesterton Academy, a classical academy that encourages students to read the Great Books. He also teaches at the University of Alberta, including on C.S. Lewis. He is a husband and father of eleven and one of our speakers for our upcoming conference.

Dr. Fast, Dr. McLarney, and Dr. Topping joined us in this webinar to examine C.S. Lewis's life, conversion, and his works, particularly The Abolition of Man.
